From the beginnings of the 90’s until 2004, each year, usually around May, in Dresden (in the eastern part of Germany) the DampfLokFest has taken place.
In the railway area named “Dresden Altstadt” there were shown a number of steam engines and old railcars.
A lot of extra-trains were organised for going there and for people to enjoy and participate in the event.
Year after Year, the show has been visited by an higher number of railfans and common people.
I was there three times: unforgettable emotions.

… on next 28-29 of October will take place in Untervaz (Graubunden – Switzerland) a steam event at which will participate a lot of steam engines coming from Rhätische Bahn (narrow gauge) and from various Swiss and German Railway Companies (normal gauge) … two unforgettable days devoted to steam … here you can find all the needed information, unfortunately only in German language: but, if you need any information, feel free to contact me …
